Corona virus and cannabis topicals?

Sorry, cannabis is not going to cure you or prevent you from getting the Corona-19 virus but they can make you feel a bit better if you get hit.

The BC Center for disease control states “The symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to other respiratory illnesses, including the flu and common cold. They include cough, sneezing, fever, sore throat and difficulty breathing.” However a local medical professional has given me a bit more details than that. Sore throat and a dry cough are the signs that the hospitals were told to look out for in cases of suspected Covid-19.

Definitely not me. There is no Covid-19 exposure at The Rad Scientist Topicals as of today! ??

Topicals can’t help with coughing, sneezing, fever and difficulty breathing but a cannabis balm with eucalyptus rubbed on your sore throat can help ease your discomfort. All of our extra strength balms contain eucalyptus so you can get some of the benefits even if you hate the smell of plain eucalyptus.

Our cannabis balm could help any chapped skin from excessive nose blowing or wiping. It can also provide localized pain relief for sore achy muscles.

If you find you’re getting headaches and sinus pain, then reach for one of our headache rollers! Eucalyptus is extra beneficial as it can help clear airways but any of our scents can help with headaches.

If baths are more your thing, our Euphoric Bath Collection has some great treats for those tired aching muscles. It’s a total game changer if you’ve been coughing so hard your back and/or abs hurt since you can treat the pain while relaxing in the tub before bed. You get the pain relief plus the added benefit of super soft skin and I don’t know about you but I don’t know a single person who doesn’t love soft skin!

Don’t forget: nothing can replace acetaminophen to stop a fever. I’ve been told ibuprofen & other nsaids make the symptoms worse but acetaminophen works best for fevers so why take the chance? It sounds like it’s similar to the flu and it’s mainly the elderly at risk so keep your kids away from grandma as she would be higher risk for pneumonia can follow.

Remember to wash your hands and try not to touch your face while in public. Stay healthy, stay safe friends and of course share your favorite topical tips in the comments! We’d love to hear them!
